Use fireworks safely June 27 to July 3 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., July 4 between the hours of 10 a.m. and midnight, and Dec. 31 from 11:30 p.m. until Jan. 1 at 12:30 a.m.
Do not use personal fireworks at the Arena event below.
**Great American 4th of July Celebration**
Celebrate our nation's birthday with a spectacular fireworks show at Arena Park on Friday, July 4, 2025! This event features Southeast Missourian Spirit of America Award presentation & a performance by the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band in the Arena Park Grandstands. Set up a lawn chair or picnic blanket at the fair grounds in Arena Park to view the fireworks show! For more information: 573-339-6340.
7 p.m. - Arena Park opens for tailgating and food truck rally.
7:30 p.m. - Patriotic music by the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band.
8 p.m. - Southeast Missourian Spirit of America Award and remarks from Southeast Missourian and city dignitaries.
8:45 p.m. - Fireworks begin.
