Utility Rates

  • Trash/Recycling: $29.69
  • Water:
    • $13.71 meter charge (5/8″ meter) + $4.167 per 100 cubic feet of water use
    • $21.14 meter charge (3/4″ meter) + $4.167 per 100 cubic feet of water use
  • Sewer: $15.67 base charge + $3.84 per 100 cubic foot of average water use during the preceding months of January, February, and March

If a new resident does not have water use history, or if a residence is not properly metered, the use charge will be based on the average water use for the entire residential class for the preceding January, February, and March.

If a new residential customer has been charged the city-wide average due to not having use history for the months of January, February, and March, the customer may request a review of his/her sewer rate once water usage is incurred for those months. If the customer was overcharged, the difference will be applied as a credit to the customer’s utility account.

Returned Payment Fees

  • Any returned payment fee: $25.00
  • After any two returned payments on any one account or from any person, the account and/or person will be placed on a cash or credit card only payment basis.

Other Rates and Fees

  • Deposit:  $164 for an apartment ($82 towards water deposit, $82 towards sewer deposit) and $224 for a home/duplex ($82 towards water deposit, $82 towards sewer deposit, and $60 towards solid waste)
    • Apartment: $164 ($82 water, $82 sewer)
    • Home/Duplex: $224 ($82 water, $82 sewer, $60 solid waste)
  • Disconnect Fee:  $25.00
  • Reconnect Fee:  $25.00
  • Compost Bags:  5 bags for $15.00
  • Online/Over the Phone Fees:
    • Debit card and Credit card –  3.75% service fee on all cards
    • E-check – $1.95  *  E-check only via the website; not allowed via phone
