About the City Clerk
The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and City Council and is under the supervision of the Director of Citizen Services. Services of the City Clerk’s office include:
- Completes record requests under the Missouri Sunshine Law
- Certifies and distributes Ordinances, Resolutions, and Codes
- Serves as the City’s election authority
- Serves as the City’s Custodian of Records
- Keeps contracts, agreements and other legislative actions
- Prepares and distributes the City Council meeting agenda and supporting documentation
- Manages and promotes Citizen Advisory Boards
- Posts legal notices
