Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment hears and decides exceptions to or variations from the height, area, bulk and setback requriements as set out in the City’s Zoning Ordinance. The Board also hears request for Liquor Licenses within 200 feet of a school, church or other building regularly used as a place of religious worship. The Board of Adjustment meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Meeting agendas are posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. The Board of Adjustment consists of five (5) citizens, appointed by the City Council. Members of the Board of Adjustment shall serve five-year terms. Three alternate members may be appointed to serve in the absence of, or the disqualification of, the regular members.
