Youth Art Classes

Homeschool Art (Ages 6-15)

Music & Movement (Ages 6 months - 4 years)
Join us for a variety of movement and music-based activities, such as dancing, ball bouncing, using a stretchy band, parachute, hula hoops, singing songs, playing instruments, story time and more. Babies will participate in songs, instruments, floor activities, rhymes, tickle games, and story time to help reinforce developmental skills such as eye contact, verbal skills, and coordination.  There will be a free demo class available on Saturday, September 14 at the Osage Centre: 9:30 a.m. for babies ages 6 months-2 years and 10:30 a.m. for kids ages 3-4. Safe Sitter (Ages 11+)
The Safe Sitter course prepares students in grades 6th-8th to be home alone, watch younger siblings, or babysit. This course is designed with interactive lessons that will help students learn life-saving skills, understand how to handle emergencies, and know how to treat injuries. Please bring a lunch! Youth Sports Classes

Dance Central (Ages 5-18)

Homeschool PE (Ages 5-15)
Attention all homeschool families.  The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will be conducting a physical education class for all homeschool students who would like to attend.  Kids will be participating in several activities including volleyball, basketball, bowling, soccer and more! Hapkido Core 1 & 2 By Lee H. Park Hapkido (Ages 5-9)
Hapkido Core has two levels: Core Class 1 (ages 5-6) and Core Class 2 ( ages 7-9). Classes are a basic introduction to martial arts and work on improving balance, mobility and respect. Other key areas of focus include kicking, punching and bully-proofing your child. All classes are taught at Lee H. Park Hapkido (1131 N. Kingshighway Suite 2K).

Pre-Hapkido By Lee H. Park Hapkido (Ages 10-15)
Pre-Hapkido is an introduction class to Hapkido for ages 10-15. This class provides the basic skills and foundation that students will need to transition to the adult Hapkido class Students will learn self-discipline, self-respect, kicking, punching, throwing, falling, basic self-defense & general exercise. All classes are taught at Lee H. Park Hapkido (1131 N. Kingshighway Suite 2K).

Pee-Wee Sports (Ages 3-5)
Introduce your child to the world of sports. Participants will play a different sport each week including t-ball, soccer and basketball. We will go over the basic skills and rules of each sport and play a fun game at the end! For more information, contact Hunter at [email protected].

Homeschool Strength & Conditioning (Ages 11-15)
This is a 6 week course where participants will explore various strength and conditioning machines, learn correct form and how to build an exercise routine. Start Smart Basketball (Ages 3-5)
