Bike to Work and School Day has been postponed due to weather and will be held on Friday, May 18, starting at 6:15 a.m.

The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Foundation will hold its 4th Annual Bike to Work & School Day on Friday May 4, 2018, for National Bike to Work & School Day. This FREE event encourages everybody to grab their bikes for a day and head to work or school with a little more physical activity.

 A kickoff will be held at the Osage Centre that morning. FREE Breakfast will begin at 6:15 am as well as free t-shirts, raffle prizes, bike registration with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, complementary Bike Doctor from CycleWerx, an obstacle course with Cape Bike & Fitness, educational information with the Healthy Communities Coalition, Glaus & Gohn $100 raffle donation, and more!

Cape Girardeau’s Mayor Bob Fox will start us off with a motivational speech, followed by the Parks and Recreation Board, and then we will head on our way to work and school.

Attendance prizes will be drawn as well as a FREE Child’s Bike giveaway and $100 Gift Card for Adult!
