Small, Private Plane Flips While Landing at CGI

Cape Girardeau Regional Airport and first responder personnel extended their thoughts and prayers to both passengers and their families involved, and to the airport community affected by the accident that took place the morning of Oct. 9, 2018. 

A private, two-passenger aircraft flipped while landing around 11 a.m. Emergency personnel were on-scene quickly. Both passengers were transported to local hospitals for care of serious injuries. No other aircrafts were involved. One runway was shut down, but no other scheduled flights were impacted.

Staff expressed gratitude to airport staff and emergency personnel from various agencies for their rapid response.
