Police, Jail and Court are Moving

The new police station and municipal court were made possible by Cape Girardeau voters approving the Fire Sales Tax & Public Safety Trust Fund in 2014. Casino Revenue and Restaurant Tax were also used to fund the facility.

Emergency Services—Available 24/7
All emergency services cover the whole city 24/7 regardless of office addresses. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Police Station Commander will be available (7 days per week) at the old address until Monday, March 5 when services start at the new location.  

Special Moving Hours—Admin & Court
Police Records & Administrative offices will close March 2 at noon and reopen Monday at the new location. Municipal Court Offices will be closed March 6. No court March 6 or 8.

Call 573-339-6735  to inquire into community room availability at the new police station during non-critical incident times.
