Household Hazardous Waste Collection on Oct. 12
Posted on 10/02/2019

If you're a City residential trash and recycling customer and you have a pile of things laying around that you can't dispose of normally in your weekly pickup, the items might just qualify for our upcoming Household Hazardous Waste collection event from 9 a.m.-noon on Oct. 12 at Arena Park in the 4-H Shelter.

View accepted items here. Please transport and deliver waste in leak-proof containers.

Paper and document shredding will also be available. This is a rain or shine event.

The event is for City of Cape Girardeau residential trash/recycling customers only, and proof of residency is required.

The service is provided by the City of Cape Girardeau Public Works Department, funded in part by a Southeast Missouri Solid Waste Management District grant.

Please note: Latex paint in solid form may be disposed of in normal trash if dried and solid. Here's how
