The Cape Public Library Board of Trustees have named Katie Hill as the library's next Executive Director.

Hill previously served as director of the Coffeyville (Kansas) Public Library. She holds a master's degree in library science from Emporia State University and was active in her community.

“The Board of Trustees believes that Katie Hill will be a visionary leader for our library and a
great asset to our community,” said Amy Trueblood, president of the Board. “Ms. Hill the ability to further develop our library and build upon the foundation provided by the many years of outstanding service, talent, and leadership of our retiring Director Betty Martin. We selected Ms. Hill because we have every confidence that she will continue Director Martin’s innovative, service-oriented approach to the library.”

The Board of Trustees began its extensive local and national search for a new executive director following the retirement of long-time director, Betty Martin, who helped the library grow and build our existing facility.

The Board of Trustees invites the community to welcome and meet Hill on Friday, Aug. 17, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Oscar and Geraldine Hirsch Room at the library. Light refreshments will be served.
