Holiday Services & Facility Schedules – Christmas 2025 and New Years
During Christmas week Thursday’s routes will run Wednesday the 24th. City offices and the Transfer Station will be closed Wednesday but routes will run. The week of New Years Day, Thursday routes will run on Wednesday December 31st. Between Dec. 26 and Jan. 9th, Cape Public Works will pick up a reasonable amount of extra trash. Just sit your bagged extra trash next to your cart on trash day (not on top of it).

The City website will look different by the end of this month, with additional improvements coming online through Spring 2026. One of the biggest improvements will be faster load times and an enhanced search function, which should help guests quickly locate information, forms, and contacts. The site will remain organized by both service and department, so users can also browse in the way that works best for them.
