$159k for the entire region. Our cuts were estimated to be $48k.

Events

• The Osage Centre will host the SEMO Arts Council Christmas Extravaganza Craft Fair Saturday November 22 from 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday November 23 from 9 am – 3 pm
• The Arena Building will host the River Valley Craft Fair Saturday November 22 from 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday November 23 from 10 am – 4 pm
• The Shawnee Park Sports Complex will host the NSSC Thanksgiving Volleyball Tournament Saturday November 22 and Sunday November 23.
• The Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run/Walk will be held Thanksgiving Day in Arena Park at 8 am.

Impactful Projects

• Construction on the Cape LaCroix Recreation Trail from Bloomfield Road to Shawnee Park is expected to begin spring The project will be partially funded by a grant through the Missouri Department of Transportation for $481,000. Parks and Storm water Maintenance crews will be stabilizing some creek bank along Cape LaCroix Creek prior to the construction of the trail beginning.
• The Parks and Recreation foundation has received an $84,000 donation from the Cape Noon Optimist Club for improvements to the Skate Park in Arena Park. The improvements will include the addition of a half pipe structure and new sidewalks to connect the amenities in the The project has begun and should be completed in January 2026.

On Friday, November 14^th we held our Employee Public Service Awards & Appreciation Luncheon. I would like to recognize our Employee of the Year recipients, as well as our 35 year employee veterans.
