We want you on our Aquatics Team!

There are many options for summer jobs but none as rewarding as being a lifeguard at Cape Splash! We have training available to certify you as a lifeguard as well as a Water Park Certification. If you are already certified we are always looking for quality, certified staff like yourself to be a part of our team!

Lifeguard Training Courses

The Lifeguard Training Course consists of both practical skills testing as well as written exams. The Lifeguard Course consists of a minimum of 28 hours of hands-on training including CPR/AED, First Aid and life-guarding certifications.

There are two timed events for lifeguard certification. The first is a timed brick dive consisting of swimming 20 yards using proper stroke technique and then diving to the bottom of a 7-10 foot pool and retrieving
a 10 pound object. Swimmer will then return to the starting point while maintaining hands on the 10 pound object and exiting the pool without a ladder. Time must be under one minute and 40 seconds. The second timed event is two minutes treading water without using arms.
