Qualifications for Office
Mayor
- 21 Years of Age
- Citizen of the United States
- Resident of the City at the time of the election
- Resident of the City at least four (4) consecutive years immediately preceding election
- Qualified registered voter
- Shall not be in arrears for any City fees, license, taxes or fines
City Council
- 21 Years of Age
- Citizen of the United States
- Resident of the City at the time of the election
- Resident of the City at least two (2) consecutive years immediately preceding election
- Resident of the Ward at least ninety (90) consecutive days immediately preceding the first day of filing
- Qualified registered voter
- Shall not be in arrears for any City fees, license, taxes or fines
