The City of Cape Girardeau Gun Violence Task Force

The City of Cape Girardeau Gun Violence Task Force was a citizen advisory committee of agency partners and community members examining the city government role in gun violence prevention. At their initial planning session July 23, 2024 they approved a tentative schedule of presentations and meetings to result in recommendations to City Council after six months. They presented their final report of recommendations to the City Council during their regular meeting Jan. 21, 2025
