Citizen Academy sessions take place twice yearly, typically starting in March and September and requiring an approximate two-hour time commitment each week for 6-8 weeks.

Once weekly at 5:30 p.m. for up to two hours unless otherwise noted

  • Public Works
  • Fire Department
  • Police Department 
  • Parks, Recreation, and Tourism
  • Graduation at Council Meeting

We hope participants will be better informed of how their city works and will be eager to volunteer in their neighborhoods and on our boards and Council. 

Applicants will be confirmed a month prior to program kickoff.
