- Repairs and maintains all City vehicles and equipment, currently more than 950 items, ranging from mowers to fire trucks. Completes over 1,300 repairs annually.
- Utilizes a computer-based fleet management system for maintenance, inventory control, and fueling operations.
- Maintains buildings and grounds for Public Works Service Center - more than 9 acres and 94,000 square feet of shop/office area.
- Dispenses more than 200,000 gallons of fuel per year.
- Coordinates preventive equipment and vehicle maintenance programs for all City divisions.
- Division includes 9 mechanices.
- Maintains inventory of frequently used parts and tires and has staff on hand for assistance.
