The Cape Girardeau Fire Department is in the process of writing a book on the history of the department. To that end we are requesting assistance with collecting information for this book. We are covering the entire history of the department dating back to 1875. If you have any pictures, memorabilia or other information which you think might be of value then please contact us. We are also asking that anyone who has information on past members to submit their name, rank(s), date of rank and time of service if known. Corroborating documentation would also be appreciated though not necessary. Even if only a name is known this will be useful. We intend on including a list of all members of the department dating back to its inception in 1875. If you can provide any assistance with this project please call or e-mail one of the men below.
