A message from the Fire Chief: Welcome to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department! The purpose of this web site is to provide you with general information about our department; provide you with specific information about current issues affecting you and your family; update you about our latest incidents and events; and, give you an opportunity to contact us with any questions or comments you may still have. Our site is not only designed to offer you interesting and educational information, but also to reflect the tremendous pride and spirit within our department. We maintain a great respect for our historic past, a strong sense of duty towards excellent performance in the present, and a real enthusiasm for meeting the challenges of the future. The purpose of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department is to deliver the highest quality services to the community in the most effective , efficient, safest, and professional manner possible - with the resources available to us. Our greatest resource, by far, is the 73 dedicated people that currently make up this department. They are committed to fulfilling our noble purpose, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The department delivers fire, rescue, emergency medical, and emergency management services from four fire stations strategically located throughout the City. Our services focus on protecting life and property through a variety of prevention, education, preparation, response, and evaluation activities. So, whether you are seeking specific information or just browsing, whether you are a concerned citizen of our community, or simply a curious fire buff ; we trust you will find this site helpful and informative.
