Purchases city fleet vehicles and equipment - including writing specifications
Maintains an inventory of frequently used parts and tires and has staff on hand for assistance
Maintains buildings and grounds for Public Works Service Center - over 12 acres and 98,000 sq ft of office and shop area
Coordinates the City Auction and occasionally lists equipment for sale on govdeals.com
Organizes City Bus use - often supplying a driver for tours and events
Maintains Emergency Communications Van so it is ready during any emergency event
Has quarterly Fleet User Group meetings with all city divisions to improve customer service and discuss purchasing of equipment
Constantly looks for ways to improve Fleet Division - including acquisition of grants related to fleet services
Manages equipment replacement fund including constant acquisition and removal of vehicles
Maintains communication equipment (radios) for Public Works
Maintains backup generators for Public Works Facility, Transfer Station and other locations
