Labor Day Holiday
The City of Cape Public Works Department, including the Transfer Station and Recycling Center will be closed Monday, September 6th in observance of Labor Day. During this week, Monday's trash and recycling routes will run Tuesday and Tuesday's trash and recycling routes will run Wednesday. There will not be any Wednesday Special Pickups or lugger containers set on Wednesday September 8th.
City Auction
The City of Cape Girardeau Public Auction will be held Saturday, September 25th at the 4-H Shelter in Arena Park. The auction begins at 9:00 AM and a food stand will be on site. Items available include vehicles, tractors, golf carts, lawn care equipment, office equipment and unclaimed and found property. For more information, follow this link to the Auction Sale Bill.
