| Currently, there are three full-time and one part-time nuisance abatement officers which serve in this unit. They are responsible for animal control issues, litter, parking control, disabled vehicles, quality of life issues, and other health and nuisance abatement issues.
In 2012 the Nuisance Abatement Unit answered 8,144 calls for service, issued 1,936 warnings, and 1,085 summons for violations.
