The Cape Girardeau Police Department has entered into an agreement with DOCVIEW, LLC to place traffic accident reports online. 

Docview.com.us is an internet-based application that was developed to help law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, and citizens access traffic accident reports in a more efficient manner. Through the use of innovative online document management technology, you are now able to rapidly find and view an accident report.

Like most law enforcement agencies across America, the Cape Girardeau Police Department has been pursuing an alternative to the servicing of report requests. Docview.us.com was found to be the most suitable and secure solution as a local accident repository for insurance and citizen report requests. 

Reports are accessible usually within five (5) days following an accident, excluding weekends and holidays. Citizens can order a traffic accident report 24 hours a day through Docview.us.com for $7.55. Citizens can also come to the Cape Girardeau Police Department to purchase a copy of a traffic accident report for $1.25 for the first page and 10¢ per page after, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.  

PLEASE NOTE: Fatal traffic accident reports and incident reports related to an accident report, such as a DUI, will not be available online. These reports must be requested through the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
