What is GIS?
A Geographic Information System produces a map that includes extra information and visuals. It is an integrated system of computer hardware, software,and trained personnel linking topographic, demographic, utility, facility, image and other resource data that is geographically referenced.

Several popular map requests have been pre-made and available in PDF format. Interactive maps allow the user to select the data they want to use. |

Maps Usage Tips
1. Pre-made, PDF maps are designed to print on 36"x 48" paper. If you are printing on standard letter (8.5"x 11") paper, be sure to use the "shrink to fit" or other scaling option in your print dialogue.
2. If you are not using high-speed internet, note that interactive, custom maps process enormous amounts of data. |
