The purpose of this information is to aid each firefighter applicant in preparing successfully for the challenging screening procedures employed by the Cape Girardeau Fire Department in testing for the position of firefighter. We believe that adequate knowledge and prior familiarization with the test items will greatly increase the probability of passing these tests.
However, merely following the guidelines will not guarantee success. There are individuals who, for a variety of reasons, may not be capable of the demands of firefighting.
