There are six City Council wards in the City of Cape Girardeau . One Councilmember is elected from each and serves staggered four-year terms. The Mayor is elected at-large by the entire city.

The wards have been updated following the 2000 Census. The map below shows the major ward boundary streets. To find out which City Council Member serves a particular ward, just click on that ward.
