City Council and City Manager’s Office Advisory Boards and Commissions
The City of Cape Girardeau wants you!
Volunteers are needed for the City’s 14 Citizen Advisory Boards. Applicants are appointed by the City Council and must be Cape Girardeau residents unless otherwise noted.
Citizens who wish to participate can print out an applications [PDF format] to mail in. Please make sure to note which board(s) you are interested in joining. When a vacancy arises, the applications on file for that board are pulled and the City Council makes an appointment. The boards meet monthly and make recommendations to the City Council. Meeting times and locations vary by board. Each board has a City staff contact person who meets with the board at their regular meeting.
All advisory board applications must be submitted to the City Manager’s Office at City Hall, 401 Independence . Call 573-334-1212 for more information. Advisory board meetings are open to the public. We encourage all of our citizens to attend these meetings.
